Robertsdale Church of God respects the privacy of our members, attendees and visitors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only information you give us directly — on a printed connection card, a volunteer or event form, or through our church portal. That may include:

• Your name, mailing address, email address and phone numbers
• Your household and family relationships, where you tell us
• Your ministry involvement, volunteer roles and event registrations
• Prayer requests you choose to share with us
• How you prefer to be contacted — email, text message, phone call or post

How we use your information

We use it to run the life of the church: to contact you about services and events, to organise volunteers and ministries, to maintain the church directory for members, and to pray for and care for you. We do not use your information for any commercial purpose.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and consent to text messages, we may send you service announcements, weather-related cancellations, event reminders and volunteer schedule notifications.

Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service or participation in the life of the church.

Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

• Church staff and volunteers who need it to carry out their ministry role
• Service providers who operate our systems on our behalf — such as our email and text messaging providers — who may use it only to provide that service to us
• Authorities, where we are required to do so by law

Our member directory is available only to members who sign in, and any member may ask to be left out of it.

Children

We collect information about children only from a parent or guardian, for check-in, children's ministry and safety purposes. It is never used for marketing.

How we protect your information

Church records are held in a password-protected system. Access is limited to staff and volunteers whose role requires it, and connections to our portal are encrypted.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to see what we hold about you, correct it, change how we contact you, remove you from the directory, or delete your record entirely. Just contact the church office.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and revise the date shown above.
